No idea our friends were in the next town
We had absolutely no idea that one of our friends was getting a house in Wanaka for the week that we were in Queenstown and we only found out about after talking to a mutual friend. Once we heard we decided we would get a car from car rental queenstown and head over there for a day. We had just flown down from Auckland so we obviously didn’t have our own car, hence the need for a rental. Anyway Wanaka was not far away at all so cruised over and had an awesome day there going around town and having lunch with our friends and we arranged for them to head over to visit us the next day which was heaps of fun.
