Why Not Switch to a Fun Job after a Layoff?
Changing careers after a layoff can be risky. But that is what my husband decided to do. While I was scared about his predicament, he looked at the layoff as an opportunity to do something he enjoys. He is one of those people who spend hours playing video games. So, after searching to find out what a video game designer salary would be, he decided to jump in with both feet. It will be a major life change for both of us. Instead of going to work every day, he will now be going back to college. That means I will be the one bringing home the paycheck for a while. I hope he finds an apprentice job soon so he can work while he goes to school.
