Reissue Patents
Since the design of our product has another 7 years before the patent is up, do we need to apply for another patent altogether for the product that has improved over the years or do we have to get a Reissue Patent for the product. It almost seems as though the product has completed reinvented itself over the years and could be a totally new product. Are there different types of patents available for this type of situation or do we just need an extension to the product we have already. We need a way to cover it in all of its stages.
