Types of porch awnings

There are plenty of porch awnings out there. Take a look at their advantages and disadvantages.•    Aluminum: sturdy and low maintenance this is one of the popular awnings. They are inexpensive too. But on the downslide they do not come in attractive colors or finishes.•    Metal: These are best to weather all kinds of weather. Stronger than aluminum and durable too they are slightly expensive. But they can withstand a lot of wear and tear and are low maintenance too.•    Canvas: lightweight and cheap these are best if you are looking for Porch awnings in different colors. They are generally mildew and mold resistant and are waterproof too. But these are high maintenance requiring cleaning every now and then.•    Caravan: This style is more suitable if you camp outdoors a lot. They are retractable and are easy to install. Made of canvas or vinyl they are easily collapsible when you are on the move.
