Toe Walking
Toe walking is usually frequent in young children. Most situations are due to these people simply being small and want to be taller. Usually, if they are able to get the heels to the floor easy, then there’s nothing to stress about. Although this is the cause of nearly all the cases of toe walking, there are many of rare neurological causes that should be eliminated prior to leaving a toe walking alone. Included in this are disorders such as cerebral palsy, autism and muscle dystrophies. A congenitally small calf muscle can also result in many toe walking. The majority of cases will require physical rehabilitation to stretch the calf muscles and a neurological follow-up to watch development.
