The Podiatry evidence base practice
Presently there has been a movement of the recent years to be able to demand data for every remedy or intervention applied in clinical practice. Podiatry as a small discipline without much regarding an evidence base has not been immune through these demands. Podiatry evidence base practice has not had a really solid background since there are so few podiatrists throughout academic and research position to pursue this compared to other larger professions. However that is getting better and also more research is being done in order to add to the evidence base in podiatry. At the same time Podiatry is not immune from the anti-evidence based practice movement as well.
