Book Keeping Tasks

The common tasks of a book keeper are similar to those of an accountant, but they definitely don’t perform the exact same tasks. Book keeping is best defined as the process of recording financial transactions. This is usually done by keeping a day book. The day book is a chronological record of day-to-day financial transactions. Often the day book entries are placed into a journal, which is then used by the accountant to post ledgers. There are different methods by which book keepers can get their work done, but in the end it is always about keeping track of every financial transaction that is completed.
